Learn to Draw a Battleship

"Bridge and Battleship" by albedo20 on flickr.
Battleships are a type of warship that is heavily armored and armed with high caliber guns. For decades they were the most important ships in a fleet, until aircraft carriers became more important in World War II. The type of battleship in this tutorial is the Iowa Class. Four battleships of this class were constructed by the U.S. during World War II, and they have been modernized and occasionally put into service until 1990.

Step 1: Draw the hull of the ship.

Step 2: Draw the side railing and the two main frontal turrets.

Step 3: Draw the lower part of the superstructure and a couple more turrets.

Step 4: Draw the rest of the superstructure and the smoke stacks.

Step 5: Draw the wires, cables,  antennae, and the number (BB-62 is the USS New Jersey, the BB-61 is the Iowa, BB-63 is the Missouri, and BB-64 is the Wisconsin).

Step 6: I went over all the lines in pen.

Step 7: I drew in the sea, you could also draw other ships in the fleet, aircraft flying above, or a battle.
